Privacy Policy
Short version: I collect the minimum needed to reply to you, I don’t sell your data, and you can ask me to delete it whenever you like.
Last updated: October 2026.
Who this is
Jigsaw & Gist is run by Bethany Ofosuhene. This policy covers the Jigsaw & Gist website only, not the Puzzle Socials themselves or any other platform (Instagram, TikTok, Luma and so on) you might reach through it.
What I collect
When you fill in a form on this site (the contact form, the corporate enquiry form, or the newsletter sign-up), I collect whatever you type into it: your name, email address, and anything else you choose to add. That’s it. I don’t track you around the internet or build a profile on you.
Separately, when you visit the site, Google Analytics records how it’s used: which pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, and what device and browser you use. That information isn’t linked to your name or email address.
How it’s used, and why that’s allowed
Contact and corporate enquiries are used to reply to you, directly, myself. That’s a legitimate interest: replying to someone who’s messaged me. Newsletter sign-ups are used to send you the newsletter, based on the consent you give by ticking the box on the form. Nothing you submit is sold, shared, or used for anything other than the reason you submitted it, and you can withdraw that consent any time (see Your rights, below). Analytics data is used only to see which pages get read so I can improve the site. That’s a legitimate interest too: understanding how people use a website I run.
Who I share it with
I use two outside services to handle form submissions, rather than building my own, and a third to measure site visits:
- The contact and corporate enquiry forms are handled by Formspree, which delivers your message straight to my inbox.
- The newsletter sign-up is handled by MailerLite, which stores your details for as long as you’re subscribed and sends the newsletter on my behalf.
- Google Analytics receives the usage information described above when you visit. I don’t use it for advertising and I don’t share your name or email with it.
Both are established providers used by small businesses everywhere for exactly this. I don’t pass your details to anyone beyond these services, and I don’t use any of them for advertising.
Where your data is processed
Formspree and Google operate from the US and MailerLite from the EU. Each publishes their own safeguards for handling UK and EU data in the privacy policies linked above, worth a read if you want the full detail on either.
How long I keep it
Contact and corporate enquiries are kept only as long as it takes to reply and follow up, then deleted. Newsletter details are kept for as long as you’re subscribed, and removed when you unsubscribe. Analytics data is held in Google Analytics for a limited period set in my account there, then deleted automatically.
Cookies
This site doesn’t use advertising cookies. It does use Google Analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by a short code), which are set when you visit and tell me how many people come and which pages they read.
If you’d rather not be counted, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works exactly the same either way.
Other links on this site
Links out to Luma (for booking a Puzzle Social) and to social platforms take you to sites I don’t control, with their own separate privacy policies. Once you click through, this policy no longer applies.
Children
This site isn’t aimed at children, and I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Your rights
You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or withdraw consent for the newsletter, any time. Get in touch and I’ll sort it directly. If you’re ever not happy with how I’ve handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the update will appear here with a new “Last updated” date at the top. I’ll always keep it in plain English rather than legal boilerplate.
Written honestly rather than copied from a template. If you have any questions about anything here, get in touch and I’ll actually answer.
