My Story

Why this exists

I love jigsaw puzzles because they give my mind a chance to quieten and switch off. I’m still thinking about colours, shapes and where that one piece could possibly be, but somehow I’m also thinking about nothing at all. There’s something about putting all those pieces together and seeing what you’ve created that gives me such a sense of achievement.

Whether I’ve got music on or something playing in the background, my phone is usually nowhere to be seen and for a while I’m completely focused on what’s in front of me.

That’s really where Jigsaw & Gist started. I wasn’t trying to build a business. I just wanted more time that didn’t feel like networking, self-improvement or another thing to optimise. Somewhere I could slow down, get creative and just enjoy what I was doing.

Turns out I’m not the only one who wanted more of this.

Jigsaw & Gist grew from wanting to share that feeling and create more opportunities for people to slow down, get creative and connect through puzzles, whether that’s in their own time, with other puzzlers or even at work.

A bit about me

Hi, I’m Bethany, the founder of Jigsaw & Gist and a Mindfulness & Wellbeing Practitioner. I host and facilitate experiences centred around jigsaw puzzles, bringing people together to slow down, connect and get creative. And yes, I spend a lot of my own time doing puzzles too.
